Have you been out of pocket due to Tesco Bank security hack?
Dean was back in the LBC studios this week on Clive Bull’s Consumer Hour Show. Dean joined Clive to talk about the recent security breach which Tesco Bank incurred. resulting in more than 20,000 customers having money taken from their accounts.
If you have suffered a loss due to missing funds from your Tesco Bank account, then you need to take action now. Dean is on hand to advise consumers on how to do this.
Although Tesco Bank has confirmed that the money which has been taken will be put back, Dean wanted to give those Tesco Bank customers some reassurance if they have been out of pocket due to their accounts not having funds to use since being hacked.
“There will be people who have suffered a loss, Dean says. “Perhaps a direct debit didn’t go through or they needed the money for something. In law, we call that a consequential loss. Tesco has said that they will cover all out of pocket expenses.”
Dean says that we have heard this before from different banks and companies and we are all a bit unsure of what this actually means. Dean offers advice to anyone who has suffered a loss because they couldn’t use their money.
“Get it in writing, get the evidence and create a chronology of events as to why you have suffered a loss and get that to Tesco Bank now,” urges Dean Dunham.
